1. How and what type of data is provided to RSAS?

Data is brought in through an ASCII interface to RSAS. This can be accomplished at any time and automatically through a set of tools provided in RSAS along with a data retrieval tool. Data required by RSAS is primarily purchase order data such as P.O. #, Date and Quantity Required, Date and Quantity Received; Supplier Master data; Part Master Data and Quality Data. All data not available through the interface can be manually entered through easy-to-use entry screens.

2. How much time will it take to interface our purchasing/manufacturing system to RSAS?

If your system is not in the list of PRODUCT INTERFACES then an interface must be developed to provide RSAS data. The amount of time greatly varies but the time is almost always between 3 and 10 working days. Even if your product is on the list, some Information Systems support is required as specific implementations of the same system may vary slightly.

3. How many users can use RSAS?

RSAS is distributed site licensed so as many users as you need can access RSAS.

4. What hardware/software/LAN environment will RSAS operate in?

RSAS will support Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 3.1 and Windows NT. While RSAS will operate on machines with as little as 4 Megs of RAM, 8 - 12 Megs of RAM is recommended. RSAS operates on LANS such as Novell, TCP/IP, Banyan, Microsoft NT Server and Lantastic.

5. How many Suppliers, P.O.'s and Parts can RSAS accomodate?

RSAS is only limited by the amount of available disk space.

6. Can I limit and/or select the suppliers I have listed in my manufacturing/purchasing software to be rated by RSAS?

A utility is provided that removes purchasing/quality records of unwanted suppliers. Additional separation is provided in RSAS through designating "Critical" suppliers.

7. Can I customize the reports?

All RSAS reports can be customized and new reports can be developed through the RSAS adhoc report writer.

8. What Fax/E-Mail capability does RSAS have?

At the present time, RSAS provides the capability to Fax the report card and corrective action report and to E-Mail non-conformance reports.

9. Does RSAS provide on-line electronic signatures?

The ability to route for signature and then electronically sign and attach notes is made available for the supplier report card, rejection report and corrective action report.

10. How do I manage each of the facilities?

Each of the facilities can run their own system or data can be consolidated into a single system and each facility can view their own data or view a corporate buildup of data.

11. Can I purchase and use the Inspection Module and/or the Survey Module without the RSAS Module?

The survey module is fully independent but the inspection module requires the basic RSAS module.
